I’ve noticed that Asian markets have stopped importing US poultry; this coming after the Mad Cow debarcle.

Its about fucking time, some countries have told America enough is enough. I wait with baited breath for America’s response, vis a vis, you’ll import our poultry, or we’ll invade you; or it’s ok, it came from Canada.

Here’s a clue. BSE appears to have first arisen in Europe. Avian flu seems to have first appeared in Asia.

I don’t think he’s saying it started in the US, I think he’s saying that knowing there is an outbreak of Avian Flu isn’t likely to stop the US from trying to export the meat.

Well, duh. Why is that deserving of a Pit thread? Did Canada and the UK voluntarily stop exports when they found BSE in their herds? Did Thailand and Vietnam voluntarily stop exporting poultry after their flu outbreaks there? Even after it had been passed on to some people? No. So why anyone expect the US to act any differently?
Of course, the OP’s tone is typically moronic. Does he really think anyone’s going to be invaded over chicken bannings? Did anyone get invaded over the bannings of beef trade with the US? Has anyone raised any link between the chickens and Canada? Last time I checked, the answer is no.
