A guy asked me at work and I had no idea. Which was the first movie to feature out-takes ? There’s probably different categories of this (i.e. actually in the theater, or when released on video, etc) but any answers are welcome. I couldn’t easily find it via google or in the archives.
The Cannonball Run (1981) is the earliest I can remember - out takes as part of the original theatre showing. But that’s by my memory - there may be earlier examples.
Being There did it in 1979, with the closing credits running over some outtakes.
I know that by the early 80’s Jackie Chan was including outtakes in the credits. Does anyone know if his films from the 70’s included them?
Wow, that was the first movie i thought of when i saw the thread title.
