Just when Spybot had wiped out all the crapware that loaded itself on my computer, I entered a non-existent URL into Internet Explorer, and instead of a 404 page I get a Yahoo! search page telling me Yahoo can’t find the web site!!!
Uninstall doesn’t show any Yahoo program. How do I rid myself of this pest?
Go to Tools|Internet Options|Advanced, scroll down to the Search from the Address bar heading, and select Do not search from the Address bar.
Yeah, what I also hate about that feature is that it will do the same thing for a url containing “www”, as in: http://.www.yahoo is messed up.
