Fish Tycoon: Yea, I'm easily amused.

And twenty bucks is easily removed from my fingers.

Played on-line for a day and decided I wanted to give my full attention and get a nice aquarium going with expensive fish. Still have not gotten any expensive fish to sell.

What I’ve learned so far:
If you don’t have a lot of cash, trash the sick fish.
No matter what the tutorial says, don’t buy medicine. Buy tank improvements!
If you breed dissimilar fish, the offspring often die.
So, has anybody gotten any magical fish? Expensive fish? What do I need to do?

CRAP!!! This is supposed to be in Cafe Society. If some friendly passerby reports this to the mods, I’d be ever so grateful.

So done.

And may I add: Watchoo talkin’ about, Willis?

It’s a game from www.gamehouse.com. And thanks.

I thought this was going to be a rant about the proliferation of dumb tycoon games. Fish Tycoon, Casino Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon, Pizza Tycoon, even plain old “lemonade stand” for the C64 was turned into “Lemonade Tycoon.”

No “strip club tycoon” that I’m aware of though.

Moving thread from The BBQ Pit to Cafe Society.

Thanks, guy!

I played it for a while. I found almost all of the magical fish–eventually. Breed your fish.
Sell the offspring. Buying the more expensive fish eggs was dissappointing–it didnt seem like my new fish were as exotic as I expected them to be. But if you keep your fish alive, and keep breeding new fish and selling them, you do eventually get interesting and expensive fish.

And then you go away from your computer for a week–or at least forget about your fish, and they all die and you are too depressed to start over.

Well, that’s what happened to me–it doesn’t have to happen to you.

hmmmm, fish. <drools>
I’ll buy some.

Not exactly Tycoon, but you could try DreamStripper (probably NSFW for content, so broken link: www dot dreamstripper dot com)

Yup. Fed my fish, coddled my fish, gave them treats and toys, tucked them in at night. Worked a bunch of overtime and forgot about them. Found them all floating in the tank the next time I played. :frowning:

Just started a tank. It seems a bit slow. Not sure if its worth paying for or not. What do I get to do if I pay for it?

If you pay for it, you get to keep playing for a long time. It isn’t a quick game. It’s the kind of game which rewards you for playing it 15 minutes a day, every day for a month or so. The fish grow up in real time. I’m pretty sure that there is a setting which allows you to not lose your fish if you go away from your computer for a week or two, but I didn’t use that setting.

I’m not making any money. I keep having to spend money on antigungal stuff. It tells me I need to know more about environment but I can’t afford it. I do have one magic fish of fertility.

My sister has begun to harrass me by constantly asking “So, how many fish did you kill today?”

It could be worse. She could be going “Hey, hey, [your real initials], how many fish did you kill today?”
