Fisher Price play bar

Not really. I am more sensitive to the pressures branding and marketing put on everyone and it’s been established that Dopers are 85% “Eh, who cares, it doesn’t affect me anyway.”

I am not saying that play-McD’s is equivalent to play-Michelob, or that it’s not important to shield children from inappropriate adult influences such as alcohol and tobacco. But I don’t think it’s much better to let marketing into their play space, especially when it’s for a place that , despite the odd salad, sells nothing but crap food and has already positioned itself not just as a treat, but a right for children. Letting that intense marketing presence right into their playroom is bad on every level, and unnecessary - it could just as easily be a generic burger stand, they could play that much more freely, and (further) hammering of McD’s into their essentially defenseless minds wouldn’t be happening.

Training them to ask if we want fries with that isn’t really an appropriate element of playtime, either. But we’re down even more levels from “Eh, doesn’t matter.”

But they have all day breakfast now. Now I can have my McGriddles for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

LOL…dito

I think this is the perfect thread for this…
