Rob Menendez Rep NJ
Seth Moulton Rep MA
Roy Cooper Gov. NC
Jake Sullivan Security advisor
Colin Allred Rep TX
I hear you whining already that Moulton did not do well in 2020 polls (the field was too large) and Colin Allred is needed in Texas for senate. Let’s look at smart people doing smart things not just the headliner golden oldie names.
I would do a list of Republicans too but I would probably do a poor list on purpose.
The Senator has been on ethics reviews since before he took office.
Then there are some other spurious and nasty claims about him.
Even if 100% innocent, that well is poisoned very badly.
Are you talking about the Son? I live in NJ and didn’t realize he won the 8th district. That is practically the 6th Borough of NYC. It is about as solidly Democratic as a district can be.
He seems to be a cypher. A nearly uncontested seat. Pretty much known for working on his father’s Senate Campaigns.
Assuming you’re talking about the younger Menendez, what makes him a name “Democrats should know?” He’s four months into his first term as a Congressman. What impresses you about him?
Roy Cooper speaks out with a sensible program for abortion availability
He calls out the opposition that requires 3 doctor visits and multiple requirements for terminations. Early stage interventions are being roadblocked in North Carolina for Republican purposes. And they are taking away medically advised emergency room treatment.
What should we know these names for? Future Presidential candidates? If they start running for President, we’ll learn their names. For anything else, why should I, an Ohio democrat, know names of politicians in New Jersey, Massachusetts, North Carolina, or Texas?
I’m sick and tired of the blonde attention whore getting all the hours and hours and headlines for doing shit. Everybody runs to their computers to post the same old same old .
Other Democrats are doing things. Other Democrats should be making the news. Remember how much publicity did to elect the God of R and look at what is happening now. It helped the Georgia peach to keep a seat and could put her in national contention.
I could see Cooper being a contender for President or VP. I could see Jack Sullivan in the Cabinet or Martinez as Labor Secretary. Or if Buttigieg was appointed as Sec of State then someone here could be Transportation Secretary.
Allred just announced he is running for Senate seat that has been occupied by Ted Cruz so obviously will be a name to be followed.
Do what you want with this list. Make your own list of people that you wish we were talking about. Just lost the star is born coverage of the losers.
I didn’t pick them for the bulge in their pants. I picked them for up and comers from different areas that actually had something to say . They can be joined by any other names you want. Tammy Duckworth does not get enough press I agree.
Nan Whaley of Ohio. Should she make the list? Discuss.
…I mean, there is a reason why there are only 25 woman in the senate. Why out of 1994 former and current senators only 11 of them have been Black. I think based on the OP, rather than focus on making new lists, it would be a much more interesting discussion to explore what made you pick these five in the first place. Because:
I’m not entirely sure this is it. I’ve been looking at the recent news for each of these people and none of them really had anything that interesting to say outside of the normal talking points. What is it they are saying that made you put them on the list? Why should we know about these people?
Are you going to clue us in on the name(s) of the Democrat(s) whom you (totally non-sexist-ly) referred to as “the blonde attention whore” and “the Georgia peach”? Because I for one am somewhat baffled not only about where this animosity is coming from but about whom it’s directed toward.
I believe I have called the congresswoman from the 14th district in Georgia a lot of things but never a Democrat.
What I said was that too much press is given to the mouthpiece for Trump propaganda and very little when Democrats try to advance legislation or make something in their district better.
