Five-Word Movie Review

Do I win?

Some examples would be the live action versions of:
Ghost in the Shell
Speed Racer
Oldboy
Battle Royale

Movies inspired by anime (but not based on a specific anime or manga) would include
The Matrix (excluded because it’s very obvious and well known influence by Ghost in the Shell)
Pacific Rim (clearly influenced by “big robot v monster” anime like Voltron or Neon Genesis Evangelion)
Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman’s character looks a lot like Vampire Hunter D)
Inception (often compared to the anime Paprika)
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World (actually based on a graphic novel, but shares some of the aesthetic of anime/manga like thought bubbles and whatnot)
I would have even accepted other Warchowski films such as V for Vendetta, Jupiter Rising and Cloud Atlas or Hunger Games (frequently compared to Battle Royale).
Honestly, I didn’t think it would be that difficult for this crowd. I mean you can Google “Hollywood films inspired by anime” and get a dozen hits.
