Fixing jeans pockets?

It’s the inner lining that’s developing the holes, of course. I tried some of those iron on fabric patches, and it not only stuck to the iron more than the fabric, it scorched (or browned) whatever it touched, though that may have been my old ass iron.

Suggestions?

You can buy new pockets and sew them in. Or, you can take them to a seamstress or a cleaners and have them repaired. I would fix them for free for you, do you know anyone who sews?

Yeah, in general with pocket linings what’s needed is sewing a whole new lining on; it doesn’t really matter if they’re in jeans, regular trousers, jackets…

sew them closed-unusable:smack::D:p

Can I borrow your old ass iron? My old ass is wrinkled.

A word of advice if you’re looking for someone among your friends who sews to do this: start with “I have a problem with a pair of jeans and it’s not the zipper or hem.”

Those are two problems that people who don’t sew almost always ask if you can do. Hems aren’t impossible if you have a machine that can handle that many layers of denim, but hemming for friends doesn’t go well if it’s not marked carefully. Zipper replacement? No, absolutely not! Take it to the cleaners, try not to faint when they tell you the price, and then go buy yourself some new jeans.

Replacing the lining of front pockets? Yeah, I’d do that for a friend no charge.

Yea, denim is a bitch to hem.
I have done my share of hemming jeans for Mr.Wrekker, he can’t find jeans the right length, EVER!!
Pocket lining is nothing to fix.
You must carry alot of keys or tools in your pocket. I don’t think I have ever had to replace a pocket on jeans. You should look into a tool apron or belt.
