Flame Retardant Pajamas

RE: Cecil’s column Pajama Game:What’s the straight dope on children’s sleepwear.

Just speaking from experience as a guy who has worked as a landlord most of his adult life:

Kids set themselves on fire a LOT! And it seems to me that they wear pajamas for more than half the day, especially the little ones.

They play with lighters in the halls. They throw newspapers in the fireplace. They burn things on the stove. They climb on hot stoves to get things out of cupboards. They burn themselves with sparklers, the most dangerous firework made. They also burn themselves at barbecues and campfires. And at Christmas time they will try to burn wrapping paper and Christmas trees.

Yeah. You want to make your kids as fireproof as possible.
