Flames, Aerostars and Insurance

I have a friend that drives his hulking white Ford Aerostar like a madman. One day we came up with the idea of painting flames on the big white van in order to give it that “badass” attitude that it sorely lacks. His parents, however, that painting flames on the beast will raise the insurance rates.

I don’t believe them. Is it true? We would be talking about a homemade deal, not an expensive custom paint job.

Ummm…

How’s the insurance company gonna know you painted flames on the van?

Why would the insurance company care? Call an insurance agent and ask, and make your friend’s parents look like idiots! :stuck_out_tongue:

They sell magnet flames now. You can get them from the JC Whitney catalog, and as some auto parts shops. They look real, but are easily removed or moved around.

Get some of those, and watch the parent’s faces when he shows them the van!

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. I’ll go back to MPSIMS now.
