Flatware design - nasco Germany grenadier

I am trying to replace pieces in a set. How do I research the design of this? It’s not easy to find much that looks like it. The basic design is it is grooved and the finger fits that groove well, and the weight is perfect. It’s a beautiful design. A little scandinavian. It says Nasco Germany Grenadier for the maker/type.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but including the term ‘cutlery’ in your searches may help (the term ‘flatware’ is not universal)

I tried googling “Nasco Germany Grenadier” and got hits indicating that (A) the Internet is aware of this kind of cutlery, since the first few returns were places like Replacements, Ltd. (showing a stainless steel flatware pattern on a specific page), and (B) at the moment, no one visible on the Internet seems to have replacement settings or pieces available. (Not even eBay, for now.)

At least you can be sure that you’re searching for the right thing. Whether you’ll ever be able to get replacement pieces remains an open question.

There is a North Carolina company called Replacements Ltd. that specializes in helping people complete sets of china, or flatware or whatever. I think they have a service where they will help you identify your exact pattern name. So you might want to contact them.

Someone hasn’t read the thread. All three posts preceding theirs. :dubious:

I link to Replacements Ltd.'s web page for the specific pattern drad dog is talking about. The page that says “PLEASE NOTE - We are sorry that we do not currently have pieces of the above pattern in stock.”

Good suggestion, though. It certainly was when I made it.

Thanks everyone. I actually am trying to figure out if Grenadier is a company or a design. It’s not clear to me right now.

I saw Replacements .com. The sample shown doesn’t look like mine. Don’t know why exactly.
