Crystal glassware identification help

My husband and I would like to try and replace some missing pieces of glassware in my in-law’s set, but we don’t know the pattern and manufacturer, let alone whether the set is still available today, as it was purchased 20-30 years ago. The set would have been purchased in Canada and that’s where I’d like to buy again, but American stores are a good start too!

I’ve been digging around on replacements.com and other sites, but without any information beyond the appearance, I’m not having any luck. I’m hoping someone here might know the pattern and be able to point me in the right direction. I’d like to get this by Christmas, but I realize that that might not be possible and we’ll put it in the “possible” gifts pile for next year

The set is very short, with “stocky” smooth goblets. The stems are short and have a spherical bulge in the middle, with “diamond” cuts in them, with somewhat of an equator, if that makes sense? The stem is - I think - hexagonal with carved grooves that extend onto the base.

I’ve sketched one of the wine glasses from memory; the white and red wine glasses are similar sized, and the port glasses are just tiny versions of the wine glasses. The champagne flutes also have the same cuts/shaping and short stem with the bulge, IIRC.

Does anyone know this pattern? I realize there may be a couple of possibilities based on that sketch, but if a few options pop up I’ll know them when I see them!

Thanks so much!

Those look a lot like a white-wine set I had, which would have been purchased around 1993. I think they all broke though. Checking the liquor cabinet… yup, none left.

These look very very close to what I had. I am currently looking for a picture of the box, because I kept them in the box through several moves and I think it would help me identify them as ones I had.

Based on this ebay auction I can say that the Bohemia Claudia glasses were definitely the ones I had.
Hope this helps you in some way!

That’s exactly them! Thank you so much! Now I need to track some down, but knowing the name is half the battle. My MIL’s birthday is in January, so if I can’t buy some before Christmas, I can at least aim for that!

I knew the SDMB could help me!

You’re welcome. It was a fun exercise on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Naturally, as soon as I said the name to my husband, he says “oh yeah…Bohemia, I knew that!” It’s been a couple of days since this idea came to us…he couldn’t have remembered the brand name sooner? Silly boy!
