A question about Aurea Stemware by Royal Crystal Rock

I hope somebody out there can help me with this question.

I am trying to replace a piece of Aurea stemware for almost a year now (To see the pattern, go to: http://www.replacements.com/webquote/rcyaur.htm)

I am told that the pattern has been discontinued, (at least in the US, I think. My friend who gave me the stemware purchased it from somewhere in Peru a few weeks before my wedding) so I have to rely on places like Replacements.com to have it in their second-hand stock. I have looked on their website. The stemware I have is a little over 6 inches in height. I don’t even know what type of stemware I have. All I know is that it’s somewhere between a cordial and a wine glass.

So please, can somebody tell me: 1) Did Royal Crystal Rock ever have a line of slighty-over 6 inch tall stemware with the Aurea pattern? (I’m starting to think that I may have knock-offs) and 2) If they did, what type of stemware was it?

Also, if you happen to be in possession of the stemware, and it’s in good condition, and you don’t mind selling one to somebody who’d like one, please let me know.

Also, please note: I have tried contacting the manufacturers’ (Royal Crystal Rock) US offices–the phone line is disconnected. I went on their website and tried emailing them–my email gets delayed. If you know of any other way to contact them or some other website where I can purchase their stemware, again please let me know.

Thanks for all your help!

I can’t answer your question, but if you haven’t already I think you should push a little further with the website you linked to. Try something of their contact information page. If I were you I would measure - and if possible photograph next to a ruler - your remaining item. Do this in as many ways as possible - height, diameter of base, diameter of top. Best of all measure the capacity of the glass (ie fill it to the brim and pour into an accurate measuring jug). Once you have this information, see if you can persuade the people at that website to see which - if any - is your glass.

It sounds like you suspect they won’t have your glass and won’t be able to find it. If that’s so, perhaps someone else can recommend a newsgroup or messageboard that deals with glasswear and/or crockery.

Good luck.
