"Fleching" is a very useful word

Since cretins who doesn’t read the Straight
Dope don’t know what it means, when you
use it people think you are being nice
and not using the other “effing” word.
Like flipping and freaking.

Encouraging ignorance. It’s easier than
you thought

You must mean “felching” and not “Fleching” or “Fletching”. Fletching has to do with putting feathers on arrows to make them fly further and straighter.

Now that I think about it, it could be rather funny to call somebody “a damned gerbil fletcher”.

Isn’t fletching the act of stopping your meteroic fall as a washed-up comedic actor by making a reasonably entertaining undercover detective spoof?

I don’t think I want to take the chance of using THAT WORD outside SDMB - its insidious nature is known beyond these boarders.

I, for one, have taught both felch and squick to my academic team, which consists mainly of CS dorks. So I’m doing my part to corrupt America’s future drewbicle-occupyers.

I meant felching. I rarely use profanity
and even have a hard time typing it
correctly. I did tell someone “I don’t
have to take your felching crap.” Nuff said.
