'Kay, I have recently lugged my Computor across the sea to Eire and it is all flickery and wierd now. I doubt it was damaged in the move because we were really carefull.
It has been speculated that the problem is caused by Eire having a lower voltage rate than the UK… can anybody help?
Doubtful, both the UK and Eire, and indeed most of Europe, uses 220-240 V of AC electricity at 50 Hz.
It is flickery and unreadable? Or is it jus ta little flicker at the top that is annoying? If it is the latter, go to trhe desktop, right click on properties, go to the settings tab, click on advanced. Click on the monitor tab, where is says refreash rate, choose the highest available.
