Not that I’m jealous of posters whose threads don’t float like bricks, but here’s what a couple of us had to say a couple of days ago:
Those of us who didn’t apply ourselves in college because we preferred to screw around having fun are greatly chagrined to realize that applying ourselves in college was the path to screwing around having fun on government and private grant money. Who knew? But mostly I’m envious of that other research program that still hasn’t been made public, but will someday answer the question, “If we could put a man on the moon, and we can get dolphins to whistle the TV Batman theme, when are we going to teach our dogs to play poker?”
I mean, come on. Road trip, Las Vegas, with puppies. That’s science, baby!
