Just to complicate matters, when the state was refusing to renew my DL without additional doc, they wanted to see a SS card. But to get a dupe SS card, they wanted a DL. After going back 'n forth about this a few times, they both settled on a copy of the birth cert, but all names had to be changed to match, letter-for-letter. And now, none of those match my business, educational, medical and personal records, so in an attempt to bring everything into alignment, they created a new and more glaring disparity.
