Tally Doper #12 checking in – and I think I’ve been here longer than most of you. Long enough to remember the LAST Tally Dopefest (circa. 1999 or 2000) where four of us met up at the now-defunct Taste Buds for lunch. At least two of those people I still see occasionally on the boards and I know of two others who lurk more than post. There’s more of us here than you think.
If you all step back and read this thread with a little perspective, you may notice that you’ve damn near talked yourselves right back out of having one. I had trouble finding the unbridled contagious enthusiasm. Mostly I saw, “Hey gang, let’s do this!” Followed by, “Naw. Got other shit to do.”
I vote for picking a non-holiday date, setting a time and place and let the chads fall where they may. Say Meyers Park to grill stuff (dead animals or crustaceans, or veggies or whatever you grill) the weekend before or after the 4th? I might be encouraged to show up, since everything here is a fifteen minute drive. I might even recruit other Dopers…

Serious offer here. We have a sweet little stray that stays around our apartments and she’s about ready to pop. We’ve been letting her stay inside since we found out she’s expecting.
Her name is Little Bit and she’s almost all black with a few white hairs on her chest and a little white spot on her belly. We’re going to have her spayed when we can and then she’ll need a good home too as we already have two little bad-asses we can’t afford.

Little Bit went into labor last night and delivered 5 (knock-on-wood) healthy kittens.

Ooh! I like that better. It’ll be easier for them to pronounce too. 
I took a couple this morning but I don’t think they came out very well.
We used a kennel carrier for her kitten box (just took the door off of it). It’s deep and therefore hard to see them with out a light.
Next time Little Bit comes trotting out, dropping nursing kittens left and right I’ll try to get a pic then.
