FloriDopers: Who do you like for governor?

So, the thread topic is now: Who do you like for governor – Crist or Davis (or one of the indie or third-party candidates – see link in OP)?

I’m voting for Crist.

I’m upset that Harris won. I can’t see her beating Nelson, and she wasn’t my pick for the primary anyway.

No longer hypothetical. If Davis is elected, Jones will be the first African-American governor in Florida’s history. Will that win Davis more votes than it loses him?

Lieutenant governor. Sorry.

Update: According to a recent Zogby poll, Crist is leading Davis by 21 points.

Will that narrow as the campaign heats up?

I like how Christ just recycled some of his pre-primary ads by substitutung Davis’ name for Gallagher’s. That’s thrifty!

Oops, I meant Crist.

I don’t think Christ is running, is he?

Update: Crist and Davis have agreed to two debates – Oct. 24 and Oct. 30 – but Crist is hesitating over the format of the latter. See here, here and here.

The format issue has now been resolved.

God. I don’t like any of 'em. There’s got to be a decent choice out there somewhere…right?

You’ll find all the third-party and independent candidates listed here.

First debate tonight!

(I have to work, unfortunately.)

Did anyone see the debate? How did it go?

Boy, I must have seen that “In Search of Jim Davis” ad three times in half an hour on TV last night! Is Crist really getting that worried?!

I hardly pay attention to the governorship, by Crist is getting absolutely roasted on the closet gay thing here in the rag sheets. I think it’s the New Times that has the expose. The readership may not care, but word of mouth assures some erosion of his conservative base.

 First I’ve heard of this. Details?

Here’s the article, the picture of Crist with the umbrella made the cover. The New Times is your typical free vaguely left-wing community news with outdated restaurant reviews and hooker ads in the back.

I’m registered Republican, planning to vote for Crist, and I could care less who he sleeps with, as long as they’re not related and over 18.

What is the bottom line on Davis’s attendance record, anyway? Does he really have the second worst record?

Apparently, but his response is, “I have not been there to name post offices.” See here. And, while he hasn’t been around DC much since he started campaigning for governor, his lifetime voting record is 93% – see here.

Ah, but according to the article, "The two bills that were not cited in the Republican ad were a resolution asking the Saudi government to eliminate anti-Western sentiments in school curriculum and a bill naming a St. Petersburg post office after a local civil rights leader. (bolding mine)

I have noticed on the latest ad the 3 is x’d out and replaced with a 5, so they’ve updated it for the number of bills he’s sponsored.
