Fluid dynamics of urinating through un/circumcised penis

This thread is not for debating the benefits or drawbacks circumcision - please start a different thread if you’d like that.

Based on anecdotal evidence - it takes longer to urinate (a given volume of urine) when uncircumcised people draw back their foreskin; and the urine comes out with greater velocity.

So the question is :
1> Does the bladder need to apply greater pressure for a circumcised person than a non-circumcised person ?
2> If the bladder applies the same pressure, then does it take longer for a given volume of urine to flow out of a circumcised penis ?

I can only answer from the perspective of an uncircumcised man. I have no experience at urinating with a circumcised penis.

The only difference I can formulate that would result in a higher pressure in an uncircumcised penis is based on the manner in which I suspect many men “hold” while urinating. Assuming that many, if not most, men hold like I do, this would mean a thumb on the top of the penis and one or more fingers underneath.

An uncircumcised penis requires a bit more effort when urinating. We all hold the penis for aiming purposes during urination. But if uncircumcised men want to make sure the urine stream goes where they’re aiming, we need to make sure that our foreskin stays retracted during the process. And that probably results in our holding our penis a bit more firmly than a circumcised man would need to. Given that the urethra runs along the underside of the penis, that extra pressure in our “grip” could, logically, pinch the urethra slightly and thus create more pressure.

I think we need more than anecdotal evidence to even know if this is a thing to even worry about.

How do you have anecdotal evidence? Do you have a list of those that are circumcised and uncircumcised at work and monitor them as they urinate?

There are too many variables to know just from a general perspective.

The size of the bladder
The size of the urethra
Age of the male
Prostate issues
Amount of urine to be expelled
How the penis is held while urinating (as mentioned above)

I am sure there are more, but these are the ones that come to mind.

Orthodox Jews (presumably all circumcised) are forbidden to hold their penis at all when urinating. Supposedly to avoid ‘pleasuring’ yourself. And a fair number of other circumsized men don’t bother to hold their penis, except at first to get it aimed right.

I don’t believe that all uncircumsized men retract their foreskin when urinating because I have seen some … ummm … documentaries, where that does not happen.

It can make a big mess.

I do not need to hold back my foreskin as it naturally retracts 99% of the time. Evidently I’m the evolutionary next step. And I can pee really fast, rarely need more than half an hour.

I read about an interesting study which concluded that pretty much all mammals, regardless of size, take about 20 seconds to pee. Human: 20 seconds. Elephant: 20 seconds. Field mouse: 20 seconds. Apparently someone went and collected large quantities of data to back up this conclusion.

I’d like to see similar data here rather than anecdotes. Even if such a difference exists, it might be on the order of 1% and not easy to identify without a large unbiased data sample.
