So I open a thread toask you to explain your ham-handed moderating in this thread and you close that one without offering any explanation other than to repeat your mantra ‘this has gone on long enough.’ 100 posts? What the hell does long enough mean? You could easily have explained yourself before closing it, so I am left to assume that simple whimsy provides the weight in your modstick. This is some real chickenshit moderating.
The closing of the first explanation for the original thread thread was partially my fault - I managed to start it going right back to the original, and fluid closed it because of that. Apologies.

Nah, it’s not chickenshit moderating. It’s just lazy laid-back moderating. The mods ain’t paid, ya know, so I don’t see any problem with them taking their time.
Sure, that thread was closed with the very uninformative comment “I think this thread has gone far enough.” But over in fluiddruid, what the hell? you got a much more informative comment:
Surely that’s enough information for now? Give them some time to sort things out, already.
My guess is that without a formal request for an explanation none will be forthcoming. I am providing such an avenue.

That was the explanation. What more do you need, a signed affadavit? A cease-and-desist court order? Plus he gave an explanation why the follow-up thread was closed as a bonus.
She’s a she. And “this has gone on long enough” is no explanation at all. This what? Why was her first appearance in the thread to close it? Why not direct it the way she wanted it to go?
Also, from the second locked thread–
Seems pretty clear cut to me. She even said that the thread could be re-opened once they figured out who was spending what time in the penalty box and cleared the gloves and helmets off the ice.
Round one was closed because it was turning into the sequel to the first thread.
I just hope that this thread doesn’t get closed, or the explanation will be ridiculously convoluted.
FTR: I have no problem with fluiddruid’s closing of a thread I started. At the time she closed the thread, I had no problem with it being closed. I think the mods are doing a tough job and doing it as best as they can. Can we now give them a break and let them hash out among themselves some of the issues raised in that thread and the others?
