Yeah, that’s what I meant. Lame attempt at a joke. I actually heard a blurb about that during one of those “Tonight at 10” news previews they do during prime time, and was pretty disgusted.
Honestly, though (and perhaps this is an indication that I am becoming a jaded old fart), with mamas leaving their babies to suffocate in the car and whatnot, nothing shocks me anymore. 
The irony is that they wouldn’t even have been busted if they hadn’t been arguing with the guard over coffee, of all things (any indication if the disputed coffee was spiked?). Makes me wonder how many times pilots get through the checkpoints in less-than-sober condition…
