I’m flying west at the end of this month and I have a couple of stopovers at airports. Last time I did this, someone scolded me for not mentioning I’d be in their town. Honestly it never occured to me! So I thought I’d see if anyone was interested in meeting briefly.
I’m flying from Albany to Minneapolis on Friday, May 26th. I’ll be arriving in Minneapolis at 7:18 PM, and I have a 2 hour wait before my next flight leaves at 9:25 PM.
Then on the way back, I’m flying from LA to Newark on Saturday, June 3rd. I’ll be arriving at 7:53 PM, and then my next flight leaves at 8:55. This is a much shorter wait, so I might have a harder time meeting someone, but I thought i’d throw it in there.
If this thread gets no takers, that’s cool, but I thought I’d try. And just an FYI, I’m going to Vegas! The only pity is it’s with my family, but beggars can’t be choosers.
Yes it was. And I’d love to meet you! Only the airlines fly you to weird places to get across country. I’m going from the same place to the same place, at least out - Albany to Colorado Springs - but via a totally different route.
There is a train that goes from the Minneapolis/Saint Paul (MSP) airport to the Mall of America. Would you be daring enough to take the 5 minute train ride to the mall to meet up? Parking at the airport is hell, and all the resturants and coffee shops are beyond the security checkpoint.
then, of course, there’s the matter of explaining to my wife how I want to go meet this girl I met online for coffee on a Friday night, and did I mention she has a reputation as a bit of a flirt?
