So I don’t fly often (except in a Cessna 172 :)) and I’m looking for flights from MSP to SEA in late June. I started looking about a month ago, and flights are starting to come down in price. I was excited to see some less expensive flights from Sun Country. But then I noticed that checked bags are less expensive than carry on (OK, I guess*). And further research indicates that SC has gone “no frills” ala Spirit.
I’m all for saving money but I’m not sure that is worth it. (reviews seem to be “used to be great but has gone downfill”
I checked Southwest but the round trip price is way more than say, Delta (even with adding bag fees)
I’ve heard conflictiong advice about when to book – last time (2015) we waited too long and suffered.
Any advice for a infrequent traveller? (flying VFR to SEA is not an option…)
Thanks,
Brian
- Last time it was Carribean cruise so clothes could fit it a carry on. This time it is Alaska, so I will likely have more clothes
