I’ve just listened to KROQ’s Christmas 2002 CD, Fo’ Shizzle St. Nizzle. The first Wherehouse was out of them, but I went to another one 15 minutes away and they had four boxes left. So how was it?
It seems everyone had to have a “Letter to Santa” on the CD. Some of them were good. Here’s an example:

The Shout’s Mullet Christmas is rather funny, and most of the musical tracks are pretty good.
“Anna’s X-mas Party” has good impressions of Anna Nicole, Ozzy Osbourne and Shaquille O’Neill. “Anna” kept calling “Ozzy” “Izzy”. At first she called “Shaq” “Sheik”, but when corrected by “Ozzy” she called him “Shellack”.
Bobcat Goldthwait’s bit was typically funny.
Over all I’d say this was decent CD by the KROQ morning guys. Not as good as No Toys for O.J., but not bad. I think they should have cut down the “letters” shtick and done comedy skits instead. Good music, but my favourite is still Poe singing Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer – lounge-style. Was that one on No Toys for O.J.? I don’t remember…
In any case, it’s not a bad CD for seven bucks. You Dopers in the L.A./Orange County area had better stock up before they’re all gone (from everywhere but eBay!).
So those of you who have access to KROQ: Which Xmas cassette or CD is your favourite? No Toys for O.J.? How the Juice Stole Christmas? Christmastime in the LBC? A Family Christmas (in your ass)? Santa’s Swingin’ Sack? one of the others?
