This is very odd to some people outside the United States. My sister’s Mexican ex-boyfriend said, “Ew!” when Ellie suggested he eat one. I’ve gotten a similar reaction from a friend of mine who lives in the UK.

    My daughter was hooked on it for a while when she was a wee tot and it was at one point where my wife and I were like “Eh, well she’s eating.” I admit, it’s a good combo of sweet and salty.
