This thread should fulfill my weekly activist quota. Everyone would be better off by watching this film. I’m researching local sources of food as you are reading this.
We recorded it from PBS a couple of weeks ago and finally watched it last night. It’s a pretty sobering look at conglomerates and the power they wield. Who knew you could be sued for disparaging beef? Doesn’t this violate constitutional rights of free speech? Why haven’t these laws been struck down by SCOTUS?
Luckily for us, there is a New Seasons market a block away that carries a lot of organics. We planted a small non-Monsanto veggie garden this year which seems like a very good idea at this point.
