Exactly a week ago I gave myself food poisoning. I was stuffing a pork tenderloin, got distracted, forgot to wash my hands, ate something, bad things happened. Now I’m looking for recovery recommendations.

A few days ago, for the full day, I had diarrhea that was exactly reflecting what I had ate. I had rice, and drank lots of water, and that’s exactly what came back out. Literally, colourless water and barely digested rice. Wonderful.
Anyway, from my understanding of what has happened, a bacteria, possibly salmonella, ended up in my intestine, pretty much taking over the joint. Now there’s no more of the usual helpful bacteria left in there. What should/could I do to build my gut back up to its usual level of… guk? I’ve eaten a decent amount of active bacteria yoghurt, and other soft foods, but is there anything I should do to help myself along? Or is my understanding of what’s happened completely askew?
