While this is the auspicious day that we find that the Meadowlands has been granted the 2014 Super Bowl, there is something else for NFL fans to celebrate today:

It’s been 107 days since Super Bowl XLIII.
The kickoff to the 2010 season is in 107 days.

Ladies and gentlemen, we’re about to go over the hump. That real Most Wonderful Time of the Year – football season – will be here before we know it. Woohoo!

Phew. I can’t stand baseball. It’s good to know we’re on the downslope to football.

Yeah, now that my Sharks have been eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs, there aren’t any sporting events until September (other than some half-assed football in August).
