I believe they are six or seven chicks, probably the offspring of the hen herself. At 9:55 you see only one a bit further up going from right to left, then the others come from the left and the first chick changes course and joins them.
At this level of resolution they almost look like a snake. I think they are not.
Yes. They look like chicks to me. Presumably scattered by the commotion and no rejoining mom.
