Duh, right after the Rebel withdrawal from Hoth, IIRC. Apparantly it’s also where they get Count Dooku’s sith name of Darth Tyranus (Is that name canon, BTW?) because that was the name of a character played by the same guy who would later play Count Dooku.
If you’re thinking of the Holiday Special, that’s a drug-induced dream sequence on Chewie’s part. It also nicely set up the design of Kasshyk, the Wookie homeworld.
Is it bad that I initially spelled “Wookie” as “Wooky?”
I would strongly caution against watching the prequels first. One of the things that drives me nuts is that in making them, George Lucas made the assumption that the audience has seen the original trilogy already. He spends very little time establishing the universe or maintaining any semblence of story logic (particularly in Return of the Sith, where plot developments clunk into place with all the grace of a decapitated walker), instead bridging big special effects scenes with poorly written exposition.
the more i think about it the more i like the order you posted, big bad voodoo lou.
it make quite a bit of sense. watch 4 hear about anakin, 1 and 2 meet anakin. go to 5 find out about anakin, darth, and luke. go to 3 see how anakin becomes darth and find out luke has a sister. go to 6 see anakin die.
