I will be more inclined to give season 5 a pass for being lackluster if season 6 is about the Mars-94 spaceship marauding throughout the solar system as a zombie.
I bailed early in Season 4. What year does this season take place in?

It was the dullest season of all.
We’ve lost touch with most characters we know and care about. I won’t go into spoilers, but we lost even more important characters.
I’m not sure who I am pulling for in season 5.
You’ll probably have a couple of years to decide.

No, I meant 6 as well. Yeah, at least 2 frickin’ years. Ugh.
I think it’s ridiculous that Martian Independence was established this early. Happy Valley isn’t even the only colony on Mars! There’s still the ISN base, but it’s only economics stopping anyone else from setting up a colony at this point. Although the Happy Valley (We are Mars State 
!) precedent probably discourages anyone on Earth from sponsoring a colony if they can’t maintain at least nominal control.
Nothing is more ridiculous than Dev being a respected member of martian society. That really does just about kill the show for me.
He had nothing to do this season other than “be in the show”. I thought he was an Elon Musk guy, but he seemed almost OK this season.
Or I missed something.
Oh, he had plenty to do. Masterminding the theft of medical supplies and weapons. Nuking the food supply. Murdering children. All while secure in his fortress of solitude (except for the part where he inexplicably wondered out into the wider compound, where he promptly got the shit kicked out of him—and was surprised?).
But he climbs an antenna (in .4g, somehow hard could it really have been?) to help bring news of a ceasefire to temporary paise a war that he all but started (by conspiring to have almost all the residents evicted), and somehow we’re supposed to believe that cleans the slate, all is forgiven? Fuck no.
And frankly, I don’t understand how he wasn’t already locked up on Earth after the whole conspiring to steal Earth’s future thing (and in that note, how exactly was Baldwin being prohibited from entering the control center even a punishment?).
The man is basically a Bond villain, and yet every season he’s festered in frames him as some kind of Übermensch. He’s like Thanos from Thanos’ perspective at the end of Infinity War, watching the sun rise in a grateful world after wiping out half the population, except everyone else seems to think he’s a good guy too.
