Regarding the August 14th game at Wrigley Field: I didn’t get to see the game (I was at work), but whilst watching the highlights on Sportscenter they showed an interesting highlight. One of the Cubs had just scored a run, and the guys in the dugout were congratulating him. The camera shows the guys high-fiving one another and then, all of a sudden, they duck as an Air Force jet buzzes Wrigley Field (non-Chicago Dopers: there’s an air show in Chicago this weeked). The crowd went wild. My question, and this may be more of a GQ here, did it ever come out in the press if the pilot of that aircraft was merely flying his pattern, or if he deliberately chose to give the fans at Wrigley a special treat?
Regarding the August 15th game: again, I didn’t see it (I was at work), but I know that Russell Crowe was scheduled to sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” How did he do?
