I believe that we are made in God’s image, which means (to me) that we are sentient, and intended for us to explore our universe. I have elected to explore that path. I believe that God created us because he wants us to grow. There wouldn’t be much point, otherwise.

I have to say, I don’t really think that **Ilsa_Lund[/b[ is a sock. Her post is not particularly provocative, it’s just a liitle joke about the “Angels” tract. Beside, there was already a more current Chick thread going at the time that this was resurrected. Why would a troll post a comment tha most everyone on the board would agree with?
FWIW, I agree with some of what you said about H4E, trying to educate her anymore is pretty much a waste of bandwidth, but to paraphrase Gandhi, the fact that a just cause may be impossible to achieve does not relieve us of our duty to try.
The FAQ says that if you think a poster is trolling, don’t accuse the poster publicly on the board, instead report the post to a moderator.
I should take this chance to add to this thread that Uncanny XMen recently channeled Chick for a recent (and terrible) storyline. The Chruch of Humanity had a plan to destroy Catholicism: they were going to set NIGHTCRAWLER up as the new pope, then suddenly turn off hsi image inducer, revealing him to be a demon, disallusioning Catholics. But that wasn’t the best part: the best part was that they were alos planning on staging a fake “Rapture” by poisoning communion wafers with some sort of instant disintigration posion. Oh, and the evil genius behind all of this: a nun who was abused by a priest. As Chick would say “It’s all true!!!”

All right, usually I think Jack Chick is funny, but that isn’t funny at all. I could laugh at the anti-Catholicism in “Death Cookie,” but claiming that the Catholic church masterminded the Holocaust and is actively planning to eliminate all non-Catholics in the US using similar methods is… just not funny.
I think maybe Chick is not just misinformed, but a very bad person.
