Could be worse, say, Deborah Dikshit.
My wife (she hyphenated) and I both wear wedding rings. To us it’s just a public acknowledgment that we’re legally and morally committed to each other.
That said, neither of us wear them when it’s impractical - cooking, showering, doing certain tasks, etc. I just about always have it on in public and rarely have it on around the house.
I’m not married, but I would never wear a wedding ring because I find rings very uncomfortable. Nearly all jewelry bothers me, including necklaces, bracelets, and watches. I know plenty of men who don’t wear their wedding rings for comfort or style reasons (personally I never thought jewelry in general looked good on men, but to each his own). Those men aren’t all out hoping to cheat on their wives or anything, they just don’t like wearing rings. I’ve met at least one girl who didn’t wear any rings because she found them uncomfortable. I also know a lot people who treasure their wedding rings so much that they don’t wear them to work or certain other activities (like swimming) because they fear losing or damaging them.
I’ve got this wicked black Tungsten Carbide wedding ring and I love wearing it. It makes a cool sound when smacked against a stair railing.
