Briefs exclusively. I’m not much on floppin’ around down there.
What kind of briefs varies. I haven’t worn the plain white kind for many years now; my wife’s never seen me in them, I don’t think. These days my normal-cut briefs are black or gray, some of each. In warm weather when I’m not at work, I go with string bikini briefs, which the lady of the house appreciates muchly.
Boxers exclusively unless I am freeballing in a pair of shorts. Never ever white boxers, solids, stripes and tasteful patterns, a do have a few pair of silk boxers with unusual patterns on them. I have a black silk pair covered with neon yellow smiley faces, they would be a nice gift for Chief Scott.

I was a briefs man for my entire life until about three months ago when on a whim I got a couple of pairs of boxer briefs. Let me say I am never going back to the briefs ever again.

Right now… plaid flannel boxers, there is nothing more comfortable.
Boxer briefs when I am out doing stuff like running or playing volleyball as one has to keep the equipment from flying about.
