I wish this had ben available back when I was doing my bachelor’s thesis on biomechanics – it’d take all day to set up a shot, with LOTS of illumination, then you had to develop the film. Modern digital imaging gives you much higher frame rates and instant gratification. Using a system similar to the above ones, I recently took films of explosives detonating at 750,000 frames per second.
