For those of you that don't use your sig -- use it here!

I made my sig several months ago (around December I think, but the months all kind of blend together to me so I could be wrong) and I’ve never posted it. Not once. In fact, until I hit ‘submit’ and see this thread, I couldn’t tell you exactly what it says.

It’s not that I ever really forget to use it, I just very rarely see the need to tack something extra onto my ever-so-wonderous posts ;). No, seriously, I don’t know why I don’t use it but I’m about to use it for the first time and I thought I should landmark the event.

Do you never use your sig? Why not?

Do you always use your sig? Why?

Don’t have one? Ask for one here and I guarantee there’s someone here witty enough to provide you with a perfect shiny new sig.

The reason I never use my sig is very simple - It isn’t a habit to press ‘Show Signature’. (I am forgetful, and can only remember to do something regularly if it is a habit).
My sig…

Funny, I was just thinking about this…I haven’t used my sig in yonks. I’ve been thinking of changing it, but I haven’t decided what to yet. Something more universally understandable, I suspect.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, Cisco, but I’m really curious about this.

What is North of Canada? On most of the maps I’m looking at it looks like the northernmost parts of Canada are it until you get to the North pole.

On a few maps it looks like Northern Greenland might edge it out by a little bit and on a few maps it looks like some parts of Russia might claim the title.

In fact, I’m rather surprised at the differences in all these maps. So what’s north of Canada?

Oh boy, I get to use my signature.

I just added a signature the other day, and am so far fairly random in appending it or not. Here 'tis…

Huh? You talking to yourself, Cisco?

OK, I guess you’re talking to me. I’m “north of Canada” because the town I live in, Lewiston, New York, is due north of a decent chunk of Ontario, as this map demonstrates. If I could walk due south from my apartment (and, I suppose, swim due south over the Niagara River), the first country I’d reach would be Canada.

Of course, a simple perusal of the map clearly indicates that if I traveled due west or due north, I would also reach Canada first. The bottom line: I am surrounded by Canadians. Better hope the trade wars don’t heat up any further.

Heh, I was confused by Cisco’s post, too, Duke (which, given my sig, is a good thing).

I hardly ever use mine anymore, either. It was fun for a while, but eventually I forgot about it, never having anything really important enought to say over and over. I rather like it, though, so welcome a chance to use it for its own sake.

Just found my first sig in a spam from mimmam…

It should be: “Shoe for industry!”

but it really is . . .

Okay.

Where’s Q.E.D.? Sorry, dude. You knew someone was gonna drag your name into this.

I rarely use mine because A) the one I currently have was designed primarily to save me time explaining my username, and only incidentally to amuse, B) it doesn’t seem necessary to use it, very often, and C) it doesn’t occur to me. If I used my sig as a bragging board, I’d probably use it more often, but I’d have to keep updating it. (And, some of the brags I’ve seen in sigs are, IMO, just plain obnoxious. And, who’s to say I wouldn’t become equally obnoxious?) And, amusing sayings get less amusing with repetition, IMO.

Hmmm…something seems to have awry with my sig. :dubious:

I almost never use mine, mainly because I never got in the habit of clicking the “show signature” box. Now I rarely even remember that I have a sig.

Hm. Prolly ought to change mine eventually.

Well, here goes.

I’m thinking of changing my username, then I’ll have to change my sig too.

Interesting. The problem is no longer visible, in that post with my sig. And, I don’t see the usual “Last edited by…” comment that would indicate a helpful Mod’s intervention. shrug

:smack: And, I left a word out of my followup comment.

Lsura, I like that one.

The only time I use my sig is in threads about sigs.

One more post closer to Handy.

Word.
