For those who live alone (or have lived alone before). Preferred state of (un)dress?

C’mon, you know half the people on the dope have like, 99% resistance to that. It’s practically a requirement to run in here.

Serious answer: appropriate for the temperature while still being able to leave the house and reduce the use of climate control technology as much as possible. That means, summer in PA, running shorts and that’s it. Winter, I typically stay fully dressed, perhaps with a flannel.

I spend most of my time at my condo – barefoot, usually, shorts, and a shirt with buttons or a T-shirt in summer. Winter – pants, socks, watchman’s cap, shirt, zip-front sweater, fleece jacket, or fleece shirt, thermal underwear, depending on temperature. I also play keys 4-5 hours per day, so fingerless wool gloves are frequent additions for cold weather. Not big on paying for a lot of heat in the apartment.

I meant besides the time we were boning. :stuck_out_tongue:

If it’s warm in the apartment, I’m wearing gym shorts over boxer briefs. A little colder and I’m wearing jeans and a t-shirt, possibly socks, probably no shoes, maybe a hoodie.

Well, there’s a difference between “knowing it exists” and “actually having it forced upon you.”

Oh yes, I also wear gloves a lot when I’m playing WoW, even in the summer–they run most of the way to the elbow and I cut them off at the second joint of the finger. Not wool, unfortunately, as I’m mildly allergic.

I knoooooooooooooow, so did I. :stuck_out_tongue:

I voted “other,” but “fully clothed, casual” would work. Usually around the house in the warm months I wear floppy shorts, a scrub top, and the requisite underwear. In the winter that becomes fleece “lounge” pants (aka men’s pajama bottoms) and a big floppy sweater over a T-shirt (again with requisite underwear).

My main consideration for around-the-house clothing is loose and comfortable.

It varies.

Usually naked/nightclothes until I go out for the day, but after that, fully clothed until I take a shower in the evening. It varies based on the temperature. Like, if it’s hot I’ll usually at least partially disrobe pretty quickly after returning home.
