I’ve never been a fan of the soaps, but I have seen bits and pieces, as a captive audience when doing housework for semi-invalid customers. 
I’d like to know, though, something about The Young and the Restless, which maybe some Dopers can answer for me:
I heard about a tall guy with dark hair–looked something like Mark Spitz, an Olympic swimming star from 1972. The man’s name was Bob Curtis, and he is supposed to have been a member of the cast. But according to a big book about the show, the name “Bob Curtis” did not appear in the cast list.
So I’d like to know: Is the book’s cast list incomplete, or was this guy lying about being on the show? Thanks very much.
You might want to check out http://www.yrnews.com. I believe they have a message board where you can ask, and believe me, these people are EXPERTS on Y&R. I would search the Y&R sites . . . there are about a kajillion of them, and you might be able to find your answer there. The AOL Y&R site has a great question and answer board as well.

I did a quick check at IMDB and didn’t find anything even remotely resembling this person in Y&R. There were some “Curtis” character names, but no actors.
