Force-quitting Safari like crazy

In the last couple of weeks, it seems like anything will cause Safari to lock up: YouTube, opening a lot of windows, closing windows quickly, etc.

I never had to force quit Safari in the past; it was one of the programs that actually ran well on the new Intel platform. Any idea what could be happening? Thanks for your help.

What version of Safari are you using?

Can you list some URLs that caused Safari to crash?

2.04

YouTube will crash it almost every time if I pause a video, wait awhile, and then try to watch it again.

Choose Safari > Reset Safari to give the program a fresh start.

To go a step farther, pull the Safari and Caches folders out of your home/Library folder. (This will even reset things like your bookmarks.)

If issues persist beyond these two things, you might want to reinstall Safari from the install disc:

Final step is reinstalling Mac OS X, if necessary.
