I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on the best Foreign Medical School. I am leaning toward St. George’s in the Carribean.
I heard Ross sucks for a lot of reasons. I heard the Eastern European ones suck for more reasons.
Are there any Carribean ones in nice, popular, touristy islands?
Any help would be appreciated.
what about ireland?
about 50% of my medical class is foreign (aussie/kiwi/US/japanese/malaysian/kuwaiti/indian)
the weather’s not great, but the medical degree is on a par with a good US med school, and we speak english.
it’s expensive, but still cheaper than the states, major drawback… the course is 5 or 6 years long…i’m not really selling this am i.
Threads asking for opinions belong in IMHO. I’ll move it for you.

I understand that McGill University in Montreal, The University of British Columbia outside Vancouver, and The University of Victoria all have decent medical schools. Canadian schools have pretty good tuition rates, too, from an American point of view.
I’ve heard good things about this foreign school called Oxford.
My degree in gynecology is from Peekistan.
I’ll second Irish medical schools. BTW I thought all doctors spent 5-6 years in medical school?
In the US it’s 4 years of med school after 4 years of college. Then 3-7 years of residency and fellowship training.
