While looking at a Jersey Atlas, I noticed a square marked “Two-guy’s” [1995 Geographia, Bergen/Passiac, Lodi map if you really want to know]. Don’t know why it was there, but… Hmm, weren’t they a electronics store from the 70’s?
Well, anyway it got me to thinking about the long gone (and oftentimes forgotten) stores of my childhood (and, well, later) [E.J. Korvettes, Time Square Stores, Orbachs, Friendly Frost, Alexanders, etc.].
My goal here is not to list them all, but instead find out if in the 2Gigs of static web pages out there if someone already has listed them. My Google searches turned up lots of mentions in various contexts, but no really good sites.
So, any URLs, anybody?
