E----xcuse Me? What is this, and where would one watch it?
Formula E is the open-wheel all-electric car series, currently about to start its 4th season.
It’s a little…different…not just because the cars sound like Radio Shack RC cars–batteries still aren’t at the point of being able to last a whole race, nor can you really switch out a battery pack, so during a pit stop they literally switch cars.
Doubleheader this weekend, a race on Saturday and Sunday. In the US, Fox carries it, on Fox Sports 1 usually. From past experience, I’ve found that sometimes in my online cable/satellite guide it’s just titled “Auto Racing” and I have to look into the description to actually find out that it’s the race I want.
Thank you. I’ll put that on my “E” list.
So it’s the off season, but I thought I’d post his here.
The Amazing Race just started on CBS last night. Conor Daly and Alexander Rossi have joined up to do the race together as Team IndyCar. I noted in the Cafe Society thread that they better not have any problems driving a manual transmission (a common source of problems for a team every now and again on this show). As it turned out they seem like a so-so team for the race, but it’s still early.
So I started to think about team pairings if Team F1 were to go on the Amazing Race. Bottas and Räikkönen? Perez and Ocon? Vettel and Kvyat?
Ok, enough joking around. But the pairing that I think would do well and be fun to watch is Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen. Though on second thought, Kimi with just about anyone would be fun to watch too.
