And just to stay on topic, I’m stunned the woman didn’t get prison time. Flagrant and illegal misuse of a Schedule II narcotic, resulting in the death of a child! I don’t get it at all.

She pled guilty and they gave her a suspended sentence? I guess the purpose of that is preventing she gets any more children to care for.
Pretty sure they wouldn’t put her in charge of the prison nursery. :rolleyes:

This is completely faulty logic. You kill your own kids if you can’t stand them or take them to that state where you can drop them off if they are under the age of 18. You don’t kill off foster kids because you can’t stand them, cause then you don’t get the check anymore. You lock unwanted foster kids in the closet and starve them within an inch of their lives. Everybody knows this, DUH!
I have heard stories about people who cause the death (or injury?) of their kid(s) in order to get attention and sympathy from the community, although I imagine it’s more rare IRL than on TV.
