I guess that depends on whether you think it is cinquefoil…
But doesnt the cinquefoil only have 5 leaves not 7 the one I found has 7 leaves
Are you wondering if it’s marijuana by any chance?
There are some images here. I don’t think your plant looks likely at all. I can see some resemblance to hemp, but the leaves are thinner.
Yeah, potato quality photo aside (and who the hell has a phone so shitty these days that it takes pics that bad?) that doesn’t look like a pot leaf. If you’d like a better answer though, take a picture of the whole plant, preferably in a resolution better than 480x320px. Dang.
Try Reddit r/whatisthisplant
Despite the name of the message board, this isn’t a drug-centered space.
That said, we have no scale (how big is the leaf?) nor any idea of what the plant as a whole looks like. Is it a woody shrub, or a vine? How tall is it? Are the leaves in pairs opposite each other along the stem, or do they alternate?
Those are all crucial for proper ID. Lots of plants have palmate leaves (e.g. they look like the fingers and palm of a spread hand) including perennial hibiscus (also called rose of sharon) among dozens of others.
Gonna need way more than a photo of an isolated leaf with zero scale. If you go on Reddit to ask, I can assure you you’ll be asked to provide a banana for scale.
Or, y’know, it’s definitely cinquefoil of some kind. Google ‘potentilla’ together with the name of whatever region you live in
I can’t believe I’ll be the first to suggest: it’s probably some species of cinquefoil
You’re right. You are not the first to suggest.
Cinquefoiled again!
Don’t smoke it whatever you do.
5 ways bad!!
There are a number of Cannabis foliage look-alikes out there.
If I ever grow Texas star hibiscus again, it won’t be in the front yard.
You can also try this phone app. I’ve found it works great for identifying all kinds of plants:
