Four Winds

I seem to remember that there were actual names, mythologically, for each of the Four Winds. I think Beliaros was one but I can’t be sure - please correct me if I’m wrong. Does anyone here know the names? I’ve already tried Ask Jeeves and the Encyclopedia Mythica with no luck. Thanks.

Wind_______Greek_______Roman

North______Boreas______Aquilo
East_______Eurus_______Vulturnus
South______Notos_______Auster
Southwest______________Africus
West_______Zephyrus____Favonius
Northwest______________Corus

Boreas, Eurus, Notos, and Zephyrus were the sons of Eos (the dawn) and her husband Astraeus. Astraeus is considered the general wind god, but I could not find much on him, although his name is obviously connected to the stars.

For more information (especially for gods and names from North American or Pacific Island cultures), go to
http://www.pantheon.org/
and execute a search on “wind” “north wind” “east wind” etc.
