Yes - but that’s all happened off-screen, and by 1946 he’s returning to England where, as it turns out, he’s met off the boat by someone who needs a word with him. And the story continues in England (but not Hastings).

It was mentioned that he had spent six months hounding some bigwig ( Senator ?), who had commit suicide. I didn’t catch the name, but I presume it was the same guy. AS a result, he is in disfavour with the FBI, which will probably be an important point in the next two episodes. [/spoiler]
