Inky-, considering the dreams I’ve had while under the spell of NyQuil, I don’t think you can pin that one on poor Fran.
I mean Old Navy commercials are weird and annoying, but not NyQuil weird.
Not the only one. She doesn’t bug me at all. I love watching re-runs of the Nanny. She’s got great timing, and she makes me laugh.
She’s used her “real voice” on the Nanny a few times…

She’s from the same neighborhood as me. She went to the same local pizza place I always went to my whole life. I’m sure I never saw her because I think she was making movies before I was even born, but I always knew that couldn’t be her real voice because noone there talks like that! Ever since the Nanny was on she gave Queens a bad name because people would think we all sound like that. And worse for me it’s not just that she’s from Queens but like the same street in Queens. I’ve in fact met people in other places who were impressed “you don’t sound anything like that Nanny woman. I thought you all talked like that.”

I just miss the good ol’ days when a given commerical break lasted no more than 3 or 4 commericals…now, I honestly think the commericals last longer than the actual show.
Ah…the dreaded Arby’s Oven Mitt commercials. I’d watch Fran Drescher every 15 minutes if it meant I didn’t have to watch the oven mitt.
Does anyone think Fran is parodying herself on the Old Navy commercials?

Death to Oven Mitt. Absolutely worst ad campaign ever. Not only should the creators of that stinker be fired, we should all file a class-action suit against them for mental anguish and emotional distress. God, it sucks.

Molly is definitely the exception to the rule when it comes to Old Navy commercials.
Nobody else has progressed after starring in one (except maybe Spike the dog. Doesn’t he do Target commercials now?)…
No!!! The absolute worst commercials have gotta be those Carl’s Jr commericals where the person takes a huge bite out of a nasty looking hamburger and these disgusting chewing sounds issue forth out of my television speakers like there is a microphone in the guy’s mouth or something, then the commerical says “quiet, I’m eating”…Well No SHIT!!! The whole world can hear you eating…

Well geez, if we’re gonna count disgusting commercials, how about the Miller Hi-Life ones where they have this absurdly closeup image of some old fart’s face as he eats and drinks?
You may have gotten your wish. In the last commercial I saw, Oven Mitt was being held out a sun roof, screaming “I’M THE KING OF THE WORLD!” when it is whisked off in the wind and vanishes.
One can only assume it was run over and squished to a grisly, gravel-encrusted death by oncoming traffic.
I thought Kirstie did a good job singing her santa song. I don’t like the clothes they put her in, but she has really packed on teh pounds and I bet its hard to find something that is flattering on tv.
As far as Fran goes…It is worse then nail scratching on a board. Her voice just grates on me. I can understand that many moons ago “that voice” was part of her character…but she no longer has the part and should rid herself of that awful laugh and nasal voice! How would you like to see Henry Winkler walking around going “ayyyyyyyy” You woulnd’t. That was a part of an old character…he has moved on.

I know I am late on this thread love-fest, but what kills me about this commerical in quesiton is Lil’ Kim.
I could not tell who she was for the first three or four times because she was clothed. When she leans into the car window , I fulled expected her to put her rack on the car window sill and display some pastie-yule tied theme.
