Frank-don't thing that was quite fair (somewhate lame)

Ok since this is ultimatly about a swollwn ankle jokes about “lame” are welll probably inevitable. But ok with me.

Anywat, i don’t think closing my thread was that warrented.

I guess this amounts to a question about the whole "medical "thing. `That is…i see it (my thread) as loooking for opinionns and more important, more imprtantly…experience. Whch mitgh help me talk to me doctor .(And i cetainly made itr clear that i am seeimgn a doctor) I understand the reasons for wanting to aviod that. But…i made it paian that i AM getttin medical help. And i think getting some feedback from other people who have had expericinede the same thing…and sometimes it’s important to ask youd doctor the right question…

i think it’s iomportant. so doi question hy thread being closed and the idea in general. I think we can do better.

Umm, link?

and

translator?

Translated

Link.

And no further comment, except that I believe I made the right decision.

Link.

But I don’t think I can help with the translation. Looks like bete found some good drugs. :smiley:

Nothing to add - I just really liked this part.

We can post drunk? Wooo Hooo!

In fairness, betenoir is apparently on heavy-duty prescription medication of some sort. Which is why she should be getting medical advice from her doctor.

Didn’t you see the stickie?

Urgent telegram to betenoir from doctor.

<<Prescription incorrect. It should read “ONE pill every SIX hours.” Not “SIX pills every ONE hour”. >>

So is Rush. He doesn’t make any sense to me either.

Hmmm…not REALLY worth opening the thread again but now that I’m back on line…just got to say to OP is embarassing. But I’m on doctor proscibed drugs…that and I normally can’t spell.

So you don’t have to be snarky…but then that’s what I love about you all.

And I still think I’m correct that I’m asking for opinions and not medical adivice so it shouldn’t have been closed. I respect the idea but I don’t think I violated it…other the being incoherent…

As a fellow non-speller might I recommend http://www.iespell.com/An excellent little add-on for Internet Explorer. Install it and then when you are done typing, right click and hit Check Spelling. It really helps. It is even improving my spelling.

Jim {though not my grammar}

From what I can see of that other thread, it didn’t look like you were really prepared to fully accept the prevailing consensus in the thread anyway, and appeared to be looking more for consolation than pressure to get it looked at posthaste.

Do I get extra points for being pitted twice by the OP in the same thread?

betenoir, I’m sorry that you do not agree with my decision, but I still believe it was the correct decision.

Of course, even a good spell checker would only change “proscibed” to “proscribed,” leaving the OP with the wrong word, anyway. :smiley:

I have to agree. Someone mentioned the asymmetry of your edema a few minutes before you mentioned how freaked you were about the asymmetry. Several people suggested going to the ER, and you know this board, we would have given you six pages of sympathy after the problem was taken care of :slight_smile:

(More than ever I’m afraid of making a typo in this thread…I’ve never typed so slow in my life)

:smiley: I was specifically told when I asked {by Giraffe I think} not to change misspellings in Quotes. So I hi-light my text when I do the spell check. The spell checker does offer up more than one possibility for those like **betenoir ** and myself, it does not auto replace which would not help as much.

Jim {as an example I had spellcheck instead of spell check}

I love that it translated it into French but kept all the misspelled English words. :smiley:

:smiley: So do I.

And I’ve been to the doctor and he didn’t seem to think it was anything serious. I just thought it was odd and was looking for opinions. But I bow to the omniscient mods. And I can’t stay mad at a mod who was named after an Elvis Costello song…although he changed his name to that of an ex boyfriend so that might account for the hostility :smiley: .
